After untold struggles and effort, I
launched the on-line store in April of 1999 and have been overwhelmed with work and expense. Dark Fire's brick and mortar store closed on August 27, 2003, but the online store is still going strong!!The fully secure shopping cart features
many custom additions that Princess K. insisted on before
launching, like:
* If it shows, it is IN STOCK!
The shopping system will not allow orders of anything that
is out of stock. This means, if you order an item, it will
be shipped out immediately (usually the same day) and not
backordered.
* Gift Certificates!
Due to downsizing of Dark Fire, gift certificates will no longer be available, though the existing certificates will be honored as usual. Simply order your items, place the code in the box and check out. This feature should be back soon.
* Fully secure shopping!
Dark Fire uses the Stronghold secure server for your secure ordering. This is the same
secure server technology used by Lucent Technologies, USA.NET,
Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter and others. Dark Fire has applied

RETAIL LOCATION CLOSED, THOUGH THE ONLINE STORE IS STILL GOING STRONG!!
After a 2 year struggle to find an open-minded
landlord, I'm very proud that I've achieved the goal of both
the online and retail store! Even though the retail location is now closed, I still feel like I'm helping the community with Dark Fire. The website is growing by leaps and bounds, and is packed full with a great selection of toys and jewelry. I don't carry plastic fuzzy handcuffs or wind-up jumping peters. ...Only the highest quality, lowest priced gear, books,
toys, gifts, jewelry, cards, etc. you'll find in the state of Texas. Price comparisons are encouraged! An experience for the senses. It was a slow, depressing fight to try to open a
retail location, so, to you patient and loyal pervs out
there, my sincere gratitude for your support of the store's
humble beginnings. I am still trying very hard to overcome
all of the obstacles that a female must face when
attempting to run a business such as Dark Fire all by
herself... Without your support, I would have given up by
now! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for supporting

Finally, an online store for folks who know that a
Whartenberg Wheel isn't that shitty little spare in the
trunk of your Oldsmobile Buick. Perhaps the Dark Fire
homepage says it best. "Dark Fire is meant to be a

providing information and resources as well as reasonably
priced items of intererst to alternative lifestyles".
We'll bow down before Princess Krista
and her wonderful site for having succeeded where so many
have failed. Dark Fire is 70% incredibly well-equipped,
fetish-oriented online store, 10% advertisement for its
brick-and-mortar counterpart, 20% paean to Krista
(the site's mistress), and 50% resource page for the
BD/SM lifestylers, especially those in Texas, the Austin area
in particular; true, that totals 150%, but that just expresses
equal parts enthusiasm and a lack of math skills on the part
of the reviewer.
